His academic career after high school started at Salt Lake Community College where he obtained his associate's degree in business. After that, he graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelors's in accounting. A couple of years later Rich attended the University of Phoenix where he received his Masters of Business Administration.

Rich’s professional career started out in public accounting where he worked for a CPA firm as a tax preparer. After that, he moved on and has been in property accounting for the past 8 years as a property accountant and controller. In his past time, Rich enjoys playing golf, traveling, and spending time with his family.
